In brief

Operator and strategist with twenty years on both sides of the table: a decade underwriting industrial and sponsor-owned companies at Citi with personal credit signing authority, then co-founder, CFO and CCO of a manufacturing-software company taken from zero to analyst-recognised category leadership across three continents. Board experience, five countries lived and worked, and — since early 2026 — a hands-on working command of what AI changes inside an operating company. The through-line across all of it is long-horizon work: strategies that have to be financed before they pay, and relationships measured in years. Interested in a seat where strategy and execution are held by the same person — leading strategy or leading the business — inside a company or from the investing side of one.

Experience

Co-Founder, CCO & CFO · MTEK Industry AB 2019 – present · Stockholm · global

Manufacturing-operations software (MES/MOM) for global industry — zero to international scale.

  • Co-founded and led the commercial, financial and partnership agenda from zero to international scale; recognised by industry analysts as a global leader in its category.
  • Customers in aerospace & defence, automotive and infrastructure equipment across Europe, North America and APAC — long-cycle enterprise buying, sold from the small side of the table.
  • Raised $30M+ across equity, convertibles and debt from European and US institutional investors; CFO 2019–2021, then CCO.
  • Built the revenue architecture for long-cycle industrial buying; C-level partnerships with global hyperscalers, systems integrators and tier-one industrial groups.

Founder & Principal · Oscar Wallner AB 2019 – present · Stockholm

A part-time vehicle for varied strategic mandates and private investments, held alongside the operating role above — never a full-time practice.

  • Strategic, commercial and capital advisory at executive and board level; a handful of mandates a year, chosen for the problem rather than the sector; private investments across AI, data infrastructure and industrial software.
  • Since 2025, engagements with private-equity investors, founders and senior executives — from fund-level strategy through systems built and deployed inside operating companies. The AI concentration reflects what became the pivotal question in 2026, not a change of direction.
  • Delivered work across industrial feasibility, private-markets diligence, infrastructure commercial strategy and technology audit; counterparty references available under confidentiality.

Recent mandates, 2025–26 — described by shape, names withheld by obligation. An investment case for a large industrial development, rebuilt so that it could be interrogated rather than believed. A commercial strategy for an infrastructure company financing at scale, argued from financing mechanics rather than sales narrative and written with its own assumptions and falsifiers attached. Diligence work for a private-markets investor, produced in the firm's own memo format and shipped with an explicit catalogue of what could not be established. A technology audit for an investment firm, separating shipped capability from architectural intent.

Board Member & Investor · Norna AB 2019 – 2025 · Stockholm

  • Early investor and board member of an AI / Data-as-a-Service company — one of a small number of Swedish AI companies at the time of investment. Led the Seed fundraising round; remains a shareholder.

Director, Corporate Banking · Citi 2011 – 2019 · Stockholm & New York

  • P&L and balance-sheet responsibility for ~50% of Citi's Swedish corporate franchise, covered across ~80 markets; a client portfolio of around USD 100M in revenue; multi-billion USD credit allocations; ~50% revenue growth on strategic accounts.
  • Credit Officer with personal signing authority; banking coverage of Sweden's largest private-equity houses and their portfolio companies.
  • EMEA IoT Lead · Nordic Digital Innovation Lead — strategic relationships across the Nordic startup ecosystem, including several companies that became unicorns.

Investment Officer · Swedfund International 2010 – 2011 · Stockholm

  • Equity, debt and project-finance investments in emerging markets — the development-finance institution of the Swedish state.

Analyst, Investment Banking · Lehman Brothers / Nomura 2007 – 2009 · London & Dubai

  • Industrials and financial sponsors, Nordics and Middle East; structured products and cross-border financing through the financial crisis; top-5% performer; sovereign-wealth-fund stabilisation transactions.

How this can be checked

Client names and documents stay private, and will stay private after any engagement of mine ends — which is the same reason a future employer can rely on the discretion. Available on request: counterparty references, under confidentiality; the numbers behind the claims above, which trace to records I can produce; and, for anyone who wants it, a walk-through of the actual working files and decision ledgers behind the recent systems — the rare kind of self-report that can be inspected rather than believed.

One boundary, stated plainly: as co-founder of MTEK Industry, I do not take work that competes with MTEK in manufacturing software.
